Operating as the main car park for the busy Southampton Central train station, it can be difficult to secure parking here. If you do however, the car park is ideally located within the city. The Mayflower Theatre and SeaCity museum are both just around the corner, and WestQuay and WestQuay Retail Park are both within 10 minutes walking distance. Also, with the possibility to park over night, the possibility to travel out of Southampton is bound to be a welcoming one.

Southampton Central train station has 4 platforms, each with access to a cafe. Toilet facilities can be found on platforms 1 and 4. A WHSmiths, selling stationary, books, newspapers and confectionery can be found on platform 1.

Princess operate many of the crew shuttles that run back and forth from the cruise terminals to the centre of town to a timetable on cruise days. The driver generally has an excellent knowledge of the cityand there should be copies of the Southampton Map and Gudie on the bus for you to take.

They have been going since 1919 and offer an excellent range of tours for crew as well as private hire. Booking in advance is essential.

Calling in advance to book a personalised group tour that can leave from outside the cruise terminal or your hotel, is recommended.

Located on the outskirts of Southampton, roughly 7km from the city centre, Southampton Airport offers flights to a variety of destinations around the world. As well as direct flights to a range European cities, including Paris, Malaga & Dublin, the airport also offers connected routes to over 100 worldwide destinations, via Amsterdam's Schilpol airport.

Southampton Airport Parkway train station is just a short (around 2-3 minute) walk from the airport. Direct services from the city's central station run frequently (every 10-20 minutes) costing approximately £3.50 per adult for a single ticket. Services also run to London Waterloo, Clapham Junction, Bournemouth and more. 24 hour parking is available at the airport, with short stay, long stay and priority options on offer.

The airport's terminal features a range of restaurants, bars and shops, including Costa Coffee & Michelle's Kitchen & Bar. Shops include WHSmith, MoneyCorp & World Duty Free.
